Fish for Health holds 1st SIMPA

The 1st Simpósio sobre o papel do Pescado na Alimentação – SIMPA was held on October 17, 2025, organized by representatives of the Fish for Health Nucleus and invited guests.

The event was offered online and free of charge, bringing together renowned researchers and professionals who discussed the role of fish in human nutrition. The main topics covered were: Fish and food security, sustainability in fishing and aquaculture, technologies for value addition, and nutrition and public health.

Participants — including students, chefs, health professionals, members of the seafood sector, and society in general — highly praised the event during the live broadcast and through comments on the project’s social media posts.
