On November 22, 2024, FAO representatives in Brazil, Mr. Jorge Meza and Mr. Gustavo Chianca, welcomed members of the Fish for Health Nucleus Committee, researchers Albert Tacon, Daniel Lemos, and Vander Bruno dos Santos.
The actions presented by the committee’s researchers — aimed at encouraging increased seafood consumption among the population — strongly align with FAO’s goals, particularly those related to combating hunger and expanding access to healthy food for vulnerable communities. 🌍🐟
The committee plans to organize academic events, such as symposia and seminars, which, with FAO’s support, may include representatives from other countries.
